Antique Button Carved MOP Blue Enamel Brass Mother of Pearl Large Brooch RARE

  

We just can't get enough of this beauty. In nice condition--its wear is consistent with age and use.

The edges of the mother of pearl have some chipping, but they are relatively difficult to see unless examining up close. There is also some aging/clouding in the brass and enamel area that we have highlighted. A quick note: we have listed this as having a brass center. It is non-magnetic, so there is a slight chance it is gold. We did not have a good way of testing this area.

There is an unusual shank carved in the back and someone has affixed a modern pin/pendant bale to convert it to a pendant brooch. Keep it as a piece of gorgeous jewelry or, hopefully, convert it back to its original form. Either way, it is a wonderful addition to any collection! Please see photos for more detail.
